Motivated Bristol Distillery Makes Hand Sanitiser Using Gin Botanicals

With masses of people flocking out to buy hand sanitiser, an inspired Bristol based gin distillery have used their resources to help tackle the shortage of hand sanitisers in their local community.

The team at Psychopomp & Circumstance Distillery took it upon themselves to start making their own gin inspired premium hand sanitiser to help sustain the increasing demand, after realising that all the shops in their local community had mass shortages.

The hand sanitiser they have created is made with 65% ethanol (which conforms to the recommended 60% +), aloe vera gel and gin botanicals including juniper, coriander seed, angelica root, cassia bark, fresh grapefruit zest and fennel seed.

The distillery is offering a small bottle of the hand sanitiser alongside orders of their gin in exchange for a donation, 100% of which is going to charity.

Both Circumstance Distillery and its sister distillery Psychopomp Microdistillery have set up donation boxes on site so that locals can come in and pay what they like. The proceedings will be going to Bristol Children’s Hospital and the Pirbright Institute – a charity for preventing and controlling viral diseases.

Danny Walker, co-founder of Psychopomp & Circumstance Distillery, said: “If you need some let us know and we can add it to your order or if you’re local pop into the distillery.

“We have a few glass bottles, but we would encourage people to bring their own spray/pump bottles if you can as we don’t want to add to the plastic problem.”
